Hanging egg chairs built for European gardens
Our hanging egg chairs — also searched as hanging basket chairs, egg swing chairs or cocoon chairs — are woven from UV-stabilised PE rattan over a powder-coated steel frame (main pole Φ42×2.5 mm), with 180 g polyester cushions and PP-filling seat and back pads. The frame is designed for years of patio, garden and balcony use, and every chair swings on a galvanised steel chain link that takes the load with margin.
Six hanging chair models, one flat-pack carton
The range includes up-down folding models (white and grey), left-right folding models in rope weave, webbing and 3-strand rattan (dark grey and natural brown), and a three-panel woven basket. Every model packs 1 piece per flat carton (111×75×18 cm) — from 480 up to 560 chairs per 40HQ container. Flat packing keeps your freight cost per chair low and your shelf cost lower.

Materials: powder-coated steel frames and hand-woven rope
Our hanging egg chairs use a powder-coated steel frame with a hand-woven rope or PE rattan basket, finished in the natural, grey, beige and charcoal tones that sell in European garden ranges. The steel is powder coated rather than painted, because a garden chair lives outside and the finish is the first thing that fails on a cheap build. Rope and weave are specified as UV-stabilised for outdoor use, and we can match a colour reference if you are building a coordinated garden programme.
Cushions, fabrics and outdoor performance
Each basket is supplied with a seat and back cushion, and the cushion fabric and colour can be specified: water-repellent and quick-drying weaves for markets that expect the chair to survive a shower, or softer furnishing fabric where the chair will mostly live under cover. Replacement covers can be quoted separately, which is a useful selling point for retail buyers. Filling density and the cover closure are specified on the order so the cushion keeps its shape through a season.
Flat-pack cartons and container loading
Hanging chairs are bulky, so how they are boxed decides the freight. Our models are designed to pack flat into a single carton per chair, with the frame, basket and cushion bagged and protected inside, and assembly instructions included. Loading quantity depends on the model and whether you mix in the stands or foldable tables, so we confirm the figure for your specific order in the quotation rather than quoting a generic number.
Garden, patio and hospitality use
Most of our hanging chair business is garden and outdoor living retail, but the same models are ordered for hotel terraces, holiday parks, glamping sites and restaurant gardens. For those projects the questions are different — how the chair is anchored, how much weight the hanging point carries, and how quickly the cushion dries after rain. Tell us the setting and the seasonal conditions and we will advise on the specification and the hanging kit that suits it.
Shipping, documentation and export terms
We quote FOB Tianjin as standard and can arrange CIF or door delivery on request. Our export documentation set covers commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and, where the destination qualifies, preferential certificates such as FORM E for ASEAN markets. Garden furniture is seasonal, so tell us your required arrival window at quotation stage and we will work back from it rather than shipping into the wrong month.

sWhat is your MOQ for hanging egg chairs?
It depends on the model and the colour or cushion specification. For mixed containers we are flexible — tell us the quantity per design and we will confirm what we can run. Custom colours and branded packaging carry a higher minimum than stock designs.
Can I change the frame and cushion colours?
Yes. Basket weave colour, frame finish and cushion fabric and colour can all be specified. Send a colour reference or a photo, and we will come back with the closest match and a sample where the quantity justifies it.
Are the hanging chairs suitable for outdoor use?
Yes — they are built for gardens and patios, with a powder-coated steel frame and UV-stabilised weave. For markets with heavy rain or harsh sun we recommend the water-repellent, quick-drying cushion option and, for year-round outdoor use, storing or covering the cushion through the wettest months.
Do the chairs come with the stand and the hanging kit?
The basket and cushion are supplied as standard. Stands, hanging chains and fixing kits can be quoted separately or included in the carton depending on the configuration you want, which changes the loading quantity — so tell us at quotation stage which way you want to buy.
How many hanging chairs fit in a container?
Loading quantity depends on the model, whether the stand is included and how the cartons are configured in the container. We confirm the exact figure for your order in the quotation, and we plan mixed containers across categories where you want to spread the order.
What is the lead time for a hanging chair order?
Garden furniture is seasonal, so timing matters. Production time depends on the model and the level of customisation, and we confirm a firm schedule when we quote. Tell us your required arrival window and we will work back from it.
Can I visit the factory?
Yes — you are welcome. Our production base is in Hebei, a short drive from our Tianjin export office, and we can meet you at Tianjin port or Beijing airport. If you cannot travel, we run a live video walk-through of the workshop.
